Despite a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, there is ongoing violence both in Gaza and the West Bank. Aboud, a small Christian village northwest of Ramallah and the hometown of Saleem Anfous (Musalaha’s Project Manager), is increasingly encircled by settlements, with Palestinian families subject to intimidation, violence and harassment. This is a story that echoes across the West Bank. Pray that the peace goes between political agreements, but is a deeper peace reflective of God’s justice, compassion and genuine reconciliation.

A new group was launched in October as part of the Muslim-Christian women’s programme. Women come from all over the West Bank, ‘48 lands and East Jerusalem, and they have been engaging in discussions about obstacles to reconciliation amongst Palestinians. Pray that their connections deepend, hearts remain open, and thei continue to be a source of unity in their communities.

The Lyd-Ramla Group is bringing together Palestinians and Israelis form the region of Lyd and Ramla. They’ve been exploring the history and narrative of the region, with some Israeli participants hearing the history of the expulsion of Palestinians from the area after 1948 for the first time. Pray that Palestinian and Israeli participants in the Lyd/Ramla group will have the courage, humility and compassion to contine confronting painful histories together, and that these honest conversations will lead to healing, justice and lasting reconciliation.

The group has recently participated in a Freedom of Religious or Belief workshop, looking at why it matters and how it impacts the Palestinian context. Pray that the young adults will continue to lead openly, ask hard questions, and build trust with one another as they engage with the important topics covered.

The Musalaha Team come together for an important retreat in Jordan, where they were able to plan for 2026 and reflect on all that has happened in 2025 - both in their work and in the region. Pray that the Musalaha team will work tell together, communicate clearly and approach upcoming projects with wisdom, energy and unity - especially as they operate in a context of access restrictions between Jerusalem and Bethlehem, separating many of the Palestinian and Israeli members of the team.

As the group continues through the programme, they ahve begun looking at toics like ‘power’, where they are exploring how power is present in different ways in Palestinian society, and how power is often imbalanced. Pray that participants would continue to gain insight, courage and wisdom to address imbalances in their communities and make positive changes, both personally and collectively.
