Musalaha Academy: 2022

The Musalaha Academy is a pioneering initiative designed to digitise and expand the reach of Musalaha’s 30-year mission of reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians. By transitioning their established 22-chapter curriculum into a dynamic virtual classroom, the organisation aims to overcome physical barriers to peacebuilding, such as checkpoints, borders, and travel restrictions. This digital transformation involves the production of high-quality educational videos, featuring diverse Israeli and Palestinian speakers, which bring the core stages of reconciliation to life for a global audience. The Academy serves as a central hub where participants can engage with updated research, interactive storyboards, and expert insights from their own homes, making the tools for conflict transformation more accessible than ever before.

The project is structured around a sophisticated online platform built on the Moodle learning management system, a standard utilised by leading universities worldwide. This platform enables the Academy to host multiple overlapping phases of engagement, from initial curriculum revision to full-scale media production and post-production. By collaborating with IT specialists, animators, and pedagogical experts, Musalaha ensures that the virtual classroom provides a professional and user-friendly experience. This technological leap allows the organisation to scale its impact significantly, reaching local community leaders, international partners, and students who are eager to apply reconciliation principles in their own unique contexts.

Ultimately, the Musalaha Academy is more than just an educational tool; it is a strategic effort to build a sustainable human infrastructure for peace. By investing in dedicated project management and creative partnerships, Musalaha is equipping a new generation of bridge-builders with the skills necessary to foster social trust and understanding. This initiative ensures that the work of breaking down prejudice and humanising the "other" continues to thrive, utilising 21st-century technology to advance the timeless biblical principles of love and compassion across deep societal divides
